How many Philly-based companies made the 2019 Inc. 5000?

Catalyst was recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States by Inc. Magazine. As we surveyed the other companies on the list, we were curious how the Philadelphia region stacked up against other top metro areas.

The good news is that 128 Philadelphia-based companies made the list. There are a lot of great, fast-growing companies in the region. The bad news is that the region accounted for less than 3% of the overall list – trailing other top cities across the United States. We love the area, and know there are a lot of incredibly innovative companies on the horizon. Philadelphia can go head-to-head with any city in terms of universities and colleges, and has made great strides in supporting entrepreneurs and the startup community over the past several years. We are excited by the future, and have no doubt Philly’s share of fast-growing companies will increase.
