Challenge

A cold intersection usable only as parking greeted visitors to a heavily trafficked shopping hub. The site was an eyesore in an up and coming area.

Solution

A gateway feature was created for the township to give a sense of place to travelers and residents alike. The first circular display in the region was styled after a nautical sundial compass, appropriate to the history of Quakertown as a crossroad village for travelers.

Elements

Township identification, three-sided display, market’s first custom circular display, hand-laid brick, side-walk, carefully selected landscaping to help soften the corner.
