As Chief Operating Officer at Catalyst Experiential, Joe is focused on scaling the business by creating and managing the tools and infrastructure that Catalyst is using to bring its transformative model to new markets.  In addition to implementing an industry-leading training platform and ERP system, this includes operation of the community communication platform, which provides municipalities with a tremendously effective way to reach tens of thousands of people a day with time sensitive content, as well as serving as chief brand evangelist, celebrating and sharing the Landmarks, Experiences, and Infrastructure that Catalyst is partnering with  communities to create.

Joe’s two decades of experience in change management and brand development has been focused on helping companies create and implement new models in a rapidly changing world. In 2002, he started a digital advertising agency, Iliad Interactive, which he later sold to Philadephia-based advertising agency The Brownstein Group. After the acquisition, Joe broke down the walls between traditional and digital advertising, helping Brownstein become one of the first fully integrated advertising agencies. He served as Chief Brand Strategist at Brownstein for several years, developing brand stories and strategies for companies including Ikea, Microsoft, and Comcast. After leaving Brownstein, Joe joined Godfrey Advertising, the second largest B2B advertising agency in the United States, where he led their transformation into a fully integrated traditional + digital agency, capped by their rebranding in 2012. Most recently, Joe served as CMO of Nexxt, where he developed and launched their new brand as well as several new products, including Text2Hire, the leading text-recruiting service for employers.

Joe grew up in the town of Lititz, PA, perennially voted the coolest small town in America. However, he left the small town for the big-city energy of Philadelphia. He still takes his two teenagers back for the Lititz 4th of July celebration. It’s the oldest continuous Independence Day celebration in the country, and the music and fireworks display rivals that of any big city.
